Djervil terms of use
These terms set out the rules for using Djervil.dk and trading with other users. You must actively accept the terms when creating an account.
1. Lawful and honest use
You must comply with applicable Danish legislation and relevant EU rules. You may only sell items you own or are entitled to sell. Stolen or illegal goods, unlawful counterfeit goods, fraud and misleading listings are not allowed.
Describe the item, its condition and any known defects accurately. Only use photos and text you are entitled to use. Clearly state if you are selling as a business and comply with the information requirements applicable to your transaction.
2. Account and communication
Provide accurate contact details, keep your email address up to date and protect your password. Communicate respectfully. Threats, harassment and spam are not allowed. You must check your messages on the site; email notifications may be delayed or not arrive.
3. Auctions and fixed-price listings
Only place bids and enter into agreements that you intend and are able to fulfil. Artificial bids, collusive bid manipulation and bidding on your own items using other accounts are not allowed. After an auction ends, the seller and winning bidder must contact each other to arrange the transaction.
For fixed-price listings, the buyer and seller arrange the transaction directly. An enquiry about an item is not in itself an agreed transaction. Honour your agreements and the rights arising under applicable legislation.
4. Contact within 24 hours
Auction: The seller must message the buyer through Djervil within 24 hours of the auction ending, where the auction has a winning bid.
Fixed-price listing: The seller must send or confirm the practical details through Djervil within 24 hours after the buyer and seller agree on the transaction.
Buyer: The buyer must reply within 24 hours after the seller's message arrives in their Djervil inbox.
Deadlines are measured in consecutive hours, including weekends and public holidays. The parties may agree on a different deadline in writing. The deadline concerns contact; it does not require payment, collection or delivery to be completed within 24 hours.
5. Collection, shipping and payment
For collection, the seller provides the collection address in a private message and suggests a time. For shipping, the parties agree on the delivery method, shipping cost and expected dispatch time, and the buyer provides the necessary delivery address privately. Shipping must be offered in the listing or agreed separately.
Clearly agree on the total price and payment method. Additional charges may not be added without agreement. Djervil currently does not handle payments between buyers and sellers and does not provide escrow or a payment guarantee.
Do not publish the other party's address or other private information. Use the information only for the agreed transaction and related lawful purposes.
6. If problems arise
First contact the other party in writing. If the contact deadline is missed, send a reminder. Missing a deadline does not automatically cancel the transaction or trigger a fine or account suspension.
Problems using Djervil or suspected illegal content can be reported to kundeservice@djervil.dk. Include the listing link and describe the problem. If the rules are breached, Djervil may remove content or restrict an account following an individual assessment. The affected user will receive a reason and may contact customer service to request reconsideration.
7. Rights and acceptance
These terms do not limit rights that cannot be waived under applicable legislation. Rights concerning matters such as defects and withdrawal depend on the particular transaction, the seller's status and Djervil's role in the transaction. A private seller therefore does not automatically mean that consumer protection is excluded.
When you accept, Djervil stores your user ID, acceptance time, terms version and a digital fingerprint of the terms page as evidence. Acceptance applies to these terms of use and is not consent to marketing.
